Getting the Right Shoes For Your Wedding Dress

Your wedding day is the most important day in your life, and because of this, you want to make sure that everything is perfect. Part of planning the perfect day is making sure that you look your best, but you also want to feel your best. Even though most people will not be looking at your shoes part of making sure that you look your best is selecting the right pair of shoes for your wedding dress.

The first decision that you will need to make is if you want to go with a traditional styled shoe or one that is a bit different in terms of style. Your traditional wedding shoes are going to offer you two basic choices you can get white silk or satin shoes, that is it, no lace or designs on them at all. If you want to get a little more creative you can still get a shoe in plain white, but you can choose one that has some style to it, whether it is decorated in lace or if it has jewels or sequins sewn onto the sew to add to the design.

The next thing that you need to think about is how much you are willing to spend on your shoes. Setting a budget is important in buying shoes because you can easily spend a hundred dollars or more on the perfect shoe. If you have a price range in mind, you will simply be able to look at the shoes in that price range, which will help to narrow down your selection.

Before you even attempt to buy your shoes, you will want to have your dress already picked out. The reason for this is that your shoes are supposed to be used to enhance your dress; they are an accessory to your dress, not the main feature. By picking out your dress first, you will know what kind of fabrics and embellishments will be on your dress, so you can choose what type of shoe will look best with it.

Not only will the type of fabric and embellishments affect the type of shoe you choose, but so will the height of the dress and the style of the dress. A perfect example is if you are going with a traditional wedding dress inside of a church you are going to be more likely to select traditional styled shoes, they just complete the look. However, if you were getting married on a beach in a sundress, white sandals, or flip-flops would look best.
