The Anthurium represents hospitality. The gleaming heart shaped flower is long lasting and radiant.

Choosing a Wedding Location

Choosing a Wedding Location

Before a couple can truly begin planning their wedding, they must decide on a wedding location or at minimum narrow it down to a couple of venues. Attempting to plan a wedding without knowing the location is equivalent to a bride shopping for bridal jewelry without having a wedding dress. When it comes to choosing a wedding location there are many things to consider. There are two questions that you should ask yourself before settling on a wedding venue.

Shop women's shoes at MasonEasyPay.com - buy now, pay later!

How does the location make you feel? Can you imagine your wedding actually taking place in this location?

Wedding Shoes

If you can answer "yes" to each of these questions then you should definitely consider this particular site for your wedding day. However, if you say "no" to any of these internal questions then you should move on to the next place on the list. A bride is better off getting married at home in her wedding gown and bridal jewelry rather than wasting tons of money on the wrong wedding site.

Before you settle on a wedding location there are a few considerations that must be made.

Size

If you plan to invite 500 people to your wedding you should not choose a wedding location with a maximum capacity of 150. After you have decided on the number of guests that you plan to invite you should research two or three wedding locations that will accommodate that amount of people.

Decor

Most brides have specific color schemes in mind as well as ideas for decorations. Unfortunately, some churches do not allow extravagant accessories such as overly elaborate bridal jewelry, flowers, or decorations. As such, if you have your heart set on these things then you need to consider places that will allow it.

Lighting

Another factor to consider when searching for a location for your wedding is lighting. If you desire a bright and vibrant ambiance to reflect the glow in your eyes, the sparkle in your bridal jewelry, and the hue in your dress, then consider whether the places on your list will meet your needs. It would be in your best interest to visit each location at the time of day in which your wedding will take place. This will give you the opportunity to test the waters before you make a final decision.

The above suggestions are important topics to think about and should not be taken lightly. Just as you might debate for hours or weeks over what bridal jewelry looks best with your wedding dress, you should give your wedding location the same consideration.

10 Things to really Remember When choosing Your Wedding Shoes

Equally as important as selecting your excellent wedding dress is selecting the right shoes for that "just right" dress to complete your wedding attire.

You might remember that a casual dress is best with a lower heeled sandal, pump or ballet slipper. While a formal gown looks best with a higher heel pump or strappy sandal.

Wedding Shoes

Here are 10 tips to help you pick your wedding shoes:

1. pick your wedding dress before you think about the shoes you will wear with it. This will give you the best opportunity of getting the match you want and complementing the dress to its fullest.

2. If you are wearing an unusually colored dress then consider having your shoes dyed to match; this will ensure a complete look -- oh, and you should have it done by a professional.

3. Remember that if your dress is long and you would precisely like to wear a comfortable shoe such as a flatter bridal shoe it won't show too much, if at all, so go ahead and do it.

4. If your dress is a shorter length a more flamboyant and glamorous shoe is a good choice to look for. Also, an ankle strap shoe helps to make your legs look longer.

5. An outdoors wedding or beach wedding is regularly more informal and seems to call for sandals or wedding flip flops. Any type of heel will likely sink into the sand or soft ground.

6. When the wedding is indoors be sure and check the flooring to see if it is at all slippery. If so, you should not pick a shoe with a glossy sole.

7. You should consider the height of the groom when selecting the heel size. If he would be sensitive to your standing very tall over him go with a flatter heel.

8. Experts in footwear propose that the best time to try on and buy shoes is in the afternoon; the suspect being that feet tend to swell during the day. So try on shoes when you foot is larger, otherwise they will feel tight and uncomfortable on your wedding day.

9. After you have chosen your wedding shoes wear them a bit colse to the house to break them in. They will feel more comfortable after a long wedding day and will help reduce the opportunity of getting blisters and having them rub you raw on the big day.

10. Lastly, if you think there is any opportunity that your bridal shoes will come to be uncomfortable during the day or evening pick a second pair that you can change into for the other part of the day.

All whites are not the same shade so, if you're wearing white, be sure to take a swatch of your white when looking for your shoes.

While most bridal shoes are made from cloth (usually white satin or silk that can be dyed to match their gowns), there isn't any rule that says brides have to wear cloth shoes.

You can also wear leather, as long as it fits with the look of your gown.

A reminder that when shopping for your dress wear, take along a pair of shoes that is the height you will be wearing at your wedding.

Then when final alterations are made on your dress, be sure it is done with the actual wedding shoes on.

Wedding shoes are so much a part of your wedding attire that you must take your time picking them and be sure to keep the above tips in mind. Most of all have fun looking for them and wearing them on your excellent wedding day.

Wedding Shoes - Choosing the Kinds That Fit Your Wedding

There is nothing quite like your very own wedding and the best part about your wedding might probably be the attire that goes with it. Men and women alike are quite excited about their wedding and want to make sure that everything goes off perfectly without a hitch. In fact, it has become quite clear that in order to have the right kind of wedding, one has to get the perfect wedding shoes. Your attire can look very off if you don't get the right kind of footwear that goes with it. Here are some tips regarding the same that you can use.

Zeroing down on the style

When it comes to wedding shoes, there is no dearth of them out in the market today. In fact, there are so many different types of shoes out there that it is getting quite difficult to choose the right kind without being able to first decide on the kind of style that you want to go in for. This would include flat heeled or pencil heels, fully closed or open toed - the choices are literally endless! Hence, once you are able to decide on these different aspects of the style, it becomes that much simpler to choose the right kind of shoes in the end.

Deciding on the brand

Once you have decided on the style, the next thing that you would want to decide on which brand it is that you would put your money down for. There are so many different brands to choose from that it can get quite intimidating to choose the right one. In fact, there is no right one as such when it comes to designer wedding shoes. There are so many different kinds out there that it can end up taking weeks together going through the offerings of all the brands. Don't get carried away and decide on something in a reasonable amount of time, as there is a lot more to do from here!

Where to get them

Once you have picked out the thing that you want to buy, the next question that you might have is to know about where you might want to buy these from. A good place to get wedding shoes these days would be internet. Most people tend to go to stores to look at shoes they like and look up the exact same model online. Once they are sure about how the shoes feel, they are all the more confident about buying it from the internet.

It might seem like information overload if you are not planning to wed soon. But, picking out designer wedding shoes is no child's play. It does take a decent amount of effort, especially if you are a perfectionist. The extra time and effort that you put in for this will show in the end and you can be assured of a picture perfect wedding. If there is one thing that weddings are about these days, it would have to be looks. Hence, the best way to ensure that you get these looks would be to invest in the right kind of wedding shoes.

Choosing Summer Wedding Decorations

If you have chosen a summer wedding date, why not take advantage of the season and use nature-inspired items to accessorize your big day?

Incorporating fresh flowers is one of the easiest ways to create a striking look for the wedding photo albums. Luckily, plenty of beautiful options are in season. Gerbera daisies, sunflowers, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums and irises are only some of your many options.

Many summer brides will want to hold their ceremony or reception outside - and for good reason. If you want a cozy, intimate look for the wedding albums, why not tie the knot right before sunset, then have guests dance the night away surrounded by romantic candles and torches? Strings of white Christmas lights are another inexpensive way to add a glow to the evening.   If you are tying the knot in a beach ceremony, the backdrop may be decoration enough. At the reception, you can scatter shells across the tables or use a variety of beach wood and glass to create unique centerpieces.

Meanwhile, if your nuptials are taking place at a farm or vineyard, you may want to accessorize using the bounty of seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables to create a lush "back to nature"-inspired theme.

Or go one step further and place green plants or small pots of growing herbs in the middle of each table. Small fruit trees can also be incorporated into the reception area - this may also provide small bursts of color to the photos in the wedding albums.

Don't forget to apply your summer inspiration to your wedding color palette. If you are a fan of pastels, choose complementary shades of pink and coral. Bolder brides may want to opt for deep orange or lime, while more traditional couples could opt for sage green or lavender.

Choosing Your Wedding Shoes

Choosing wedding shoes can be just as overwhelming as other aspects of the wedding planning process. Not sure what type of shoes to wear on your wedding day? Then it pays to think about the features you want before looking. Also, consider whether you will wear one pair at the ceremony (for effect) and another at the reception (for comfort) or one pair throughout the day. Here is an overview of the different features and options available:

General Styles

Like other shoes, you can choose from a variety of styles. Designers offer pumps, sling-backs, all heel heights, platforms, open-toes, closed-toes, sandals and other strappy designs. Chances are you can find your favorite style in a wedding shoe.

Heel Height

Heel heights range from flats to six or seven inch spike heels. Considerations when deciding what height shoes to wear include whether your wedding is outside or inside, how comfortable you are wearing high heels, how tall you want to appear relative to the groom during the ceremony, and if you are going to change shoes at the reception.

Flats. Outdoor weddings lend themselves to flat shoes because it is easier to walk flat-footed across sand or soft soil. As outdoor and destination weddings have become more popular, shoe companies are making a wider variety of flat bridal shoes. Flip-flops, thongs, ballerina shoes, and even open-backed slippers are all available.

Tennis Shoes. We have all seen video of barefoot brides kicking it up at the reception. If you'd prefer comfortable -- but not bare -- feet, there are options. One is the bridal tennis shoe. You can purchase a pair from one of a few online vendors, or make your own by gluing lace, crystals, or pearls to a white pair of sneakers. The above-mentioned flats are another option for dancing.

Low Heels. If you are wobbly in high heels but feel uncomfortable wearing flats, a low or wedge heel may be just right for you. You can find a selection of 1/2" to 1 3/4" heels in several styles.

Mid Heels. Mid-rise sandals and pumps with heel heights around 2" - 2 3/4" provide a bit more height than the lower heels. Mid heels are, in general, skinnier than their lower counterparts.

High Heels. Your options are numerous if you have the skill to walk in 3"+ heels. Many fashionable, higher heel styles are out there. If you need practice walking in high heels, we suggest buying your shoes several weeks before the wedding and wear them until you can walk up and down steps, spin, squat, and otherwise walk around for several hours in comfort. We also recommend a back-up pair of lower shoes for the reception.

Platform wedding shoes. If you like to shake things up a bit -- or want to add several inches to your height -- these chunky high heels may be for you. Platform heels tend to be 3" or more, plus added lift from the platform. They can be harder to find than other bridal shoes, so you may want to order from an online specialty store. Search the Web for platform wedding shoes and you will find several options.

Shoe Color

White and ivory are traditionally the most popular colors for wedding shoes. There are options for the non-traditional bride as well. Bridal shoes are available in black, silver, gold, and even pink.

Dyeable Shoes. There are several brands of dyeable wedding shoes commonly available (Coloriffics, Dyeables, Colorful Creations, Nina Dyeables, and Touch Ups are some brands you will find). These white satin shoes can be worn as-is or dyed to match your gown. Experts recommend having an experienced shoe dyer color your shoes. While you can purchase dye and try it yourself, realize that the process can be more art than science. You could end up with a blotchy pair of shoes or a wrong color.

Clear Shoes. If you are the kind of bride who likes to show off her feet, consider a clear shoe. You can find several shoe styles with clear vinyl straps. Some have clear heels as well. Many are also decorated with Swarovski crystals or other decorative embellishments.

Adornments

Wedding shoe decorations range from none (plain satin pumps) to extravagantly ornate. Crystal buckles or a Swarovski cluster can dress up an otherwise plain shoe. For a bolder look, shop for beading across the top of a high-heeled sandal, or roping accents. Even more noticeable are rhinestone starbursts or other flashy detailing splashed across the top of the foot. You are sure to find an adornment level to suit your style.

Now can you picture the perfect pair of shoes for your wedding day? Yes? Then it's time to shop!
